Management of Clubs and Franchises in Professional Sports Leagues

This module provides an insight into how professional sports leagues like the IPL, ISL, Pro Kabaddi League etc are planned, designed, marketed and monetised. It talks about Player Auctions, Team Purses, Branding and Marketing, Fan zones and merchandising and digital content creation. And about rules and regulations for forming teams, salaries and remuneration packages of players and support staff, expenditure and sources of revenue, opportunities and challenges- the entire Business Model of Franchise Sports Leagues. 

Creation and Development of Sports Brands

This module provides insights into how a Tournament, Team or an Individual Player can be transformed into a Sports Brand, how it is developed, marketed and monetised optimally, eg. Brand Virat Kohli, Brand IPL or Brand RCB and an introduction to the Brand Value associated with each.

Sports Event Management

This module talks about positioning and execution workflow patterns and the various job responsibilities in the successful conduct of a mega sports event such as an IPL or a Mumbai Marathon, or an Olympic Games and the associated Business Model and Strategies to make it Financially viable.

Sports Facilities Infrastructure Creation and Management

This module provides an insight into how Sports Infrastructure is planned and created and successfully administered. Right from the major stadiums like Motera with its 1.25 lakh seating capacity to the neighbourhood community sports centre or club. How they are planned, used, administered and monetised. 

Sports Equipment and Apparel Management and Retail

A glimpse of how the mega sports Retailing and Merchandising Industry headed by giants like Nike, Puma, Adidas etc. functions and markets itself. 

Long Term Athlete Development Programmes

A glimpse of how serious sports coaching programmes and player development from the grassroots level are planned and executed as a business and monetised. 

Sports Data Analytics

An insight into the science behind analysis of sports video and statistical data to predict and enhance sports performance indicators of teams and create matchups for individual players. And to work out winning strategies and counters to optimise chances of achieving consistent sporting success, which ultimately translates into financial rewards and overall increase in Brand Value with each win.
