This advanced-level course is ideal for those who have completed the Yoga Instructors’ Course (YIC) and are looking to deepen their practice and expand their teaching repertoire with the unique techniques of Aerial Yoga.
Set in the serene and spiritually enriching environment of SVYASA, the course provides an ideal backdrop for personal transformation and growth. The program combines theoretical and practical subjects, including Aerial Asanas, Breathing Techniques, Pranayama, Meditation, and the use of aerial hammocks to enhance flexibility, strength, and balance.
Upon completion, students will be equipped to teach Aerial Yoga to the general public, including individuals with health concerns. The course emphasizes a holistic approach to health, focusing on disease prevention, the promotion of positive well-being, and the cultivation of harmony and peace within society.
This advanced program builds on the foundational knowledge from the YIC course, offering participants a unique opportunity to elevate their yoga teaching and personal practice to new heights.
Objectives & Benefits
What is Aerial Yoga?
Aerial yoga combines traditional yoga poses with acrobatics and aerial arts. Using a soft fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling, you’ll learn to perform various yoga poses while floating in the air. This unique form of exercise not only challenges your strength, flexibility, and balance but also provides a sense of weightlessness and freedom.
Why Choose Aerial Yoga?
Aerial yoga offers a multitude of benefits for both the mind and body. Here’s why you should give it a try:
Strengthen and Tone: Aerial yoga engages your muscles in new ways, helping you develop core strength, improve flexibility, and build lean muscle tone.
Decompress the Spine: The hammock allows for gentle traction, relieving pressure on the spine and promoting spinal decompression. It can help alleviate back pain and improve posture.
Enhance Flexibility: Aerial yoga encourages deeper stretches and increased range of motion, helping you improve flexibility over time.
Boost Mindfulness and Focus: Being suspended in the air requires concentration and focus, which can enhance your mindfulness practice and promote mental clarity.
Fun and Unique: Aerial yoga brings an element of playfulness and creativity to your fitness routine, making it an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Equipment Provided during practice: You don’t need to bring anything except your enthusiasm! We provide all the necessary equipment, including the hammocks, to ensure your comfort and safety during the training sessions.
